About Our Club
The Club was chartered by the San Joaquin County Democratic Central Committee on April 1, 2017. The club’s executive board consists of a Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer
The purpose of The Democratic Club of Manteca is to advance the goals of the Democratic Party, support its candidates and serve our local community. The Club promotes social programs, labor unions, consumer protection, workplace safety regulation, equal opportunity, disability rights, racial equality, regulations against environmental pollution, and criminal justice reform.
The Club also supports Democratic elected officials and candidates for office by phone banking, fund raising, displaying campaign posters and other media, registering voters and candidate recruitment for local office. Club members can support the local community by volunteering to provide upkeep for public areas, serving on the City Of Manteca or San Joaquin County Boards and Commissions and donating time to or fund raising for local charities.
Membership is open to any registered democrat in the local area who supports the goals of the Democratic Club of Manteca. Membership meetings are once a month on the fourth Wednesday of the month unless notified otherwise by the Executive Board. Current members will received the meeting location and/or Zoom link approximately 5 days before the meeting and a reminder on the day of the meeting.

Executive Board (February 2024 - February 2025)

The chair officiates all meetings of the Club. The chair represents the club at county committee meetings.
Vice Chair - Paul Freiberger ([email protected])
In the temporary absence of the chair, the vice-chair shall serve as chair and can officiates all meetings of the Club.
Secretary - Phyllis McDonald ([email protected])
The secretary notifies all members of Club meetings, maintains an updated club roster, and all written records of the Club
Treasurer - Ken Stedtfeld ([email protected])
The treasurer maintains all financial records of the Club, is responsible for bank accounts,ensures FPPC/FEC financial reports are submitted on time, and provides a monthly financial report at Club meetings.
